Joe + Katie | Married

I was so blessed to be able to head out to beautiful Colorado to shoot Joe + Katie’s wedding this past month. As I drove my black Dodge Charger [pretty pimp rental car!] across the Colorado plains heading toward the wedding venue, I knew it was going to be an awesome wedding.

Joe + Katie are such down-to-earth people, and it was only fitting for them to have a good ole barn wedding. Everything about it was chill and full of life. All the details were simply a reflection of who they are as a couple. Simple. Natural. Country.

Just moments before the ceremony was scheduled to start, the skies opened up and the rain fell hard. As I looked out at the open fields, I couldn’t help but be super disappointed that this sweet couple had flown me all the way in from Texas to photograph their wedding, and it was likely that we wouldn’t even be able to do any shots outside. I was scrambling to find a backup plan inside the barn. But, literally 15 minutes before go-time, the rain let up and everyone grabbed towels and began wiping down the chairs… and just like that, no one would have ever known that it had rained. We were still able to utilize the breathtaking landscape of those wheat fields and Katie + Joe were still as chill as could be.

I’m so grateful that I have clients that value photography enough to pull me in from another state and have me tell their story through imagery. Joe + Katie… you guys are awesome, and I wish you all the best in your new life together!

Now, sit back and allow yourself to be swept up in their unique love story.
