When I sat down with Anna and heard her vision for their engagement session, I got really excited. First of all, she wanted to do it at a place that had meaning to them. Drew’s family has a nice chunk of land just outside of College Station. It was there that Drew proposed to Anna while they were riding horses one day. So, they wanted to incorporate all of the beauty into their photos and to also bring out aspects of their personality.
This is the part where Anna looked at me nervously and proposed the idea of doing a few shots Crossfit style. Anyone that knows me well knows that I’m pretty much allergic to working out. Aside from knowing Crossfit is a thing that super cool people do to work out, I’m pretty much lost. I said, “That sounds awesome, but you’re going to have to be the ones to figure out what that even looks like!” She wasn’t worried, they knew exactly what they wanted. I have to admit, I was pretty impressed with it in the end… any man that can give his girl a kiss while doing a handstand and then be able to hoist her over his head like a gladiator deserves my full respect!
All in all, I was really excited about the images that came from their session. Drew + Anna were awesome to work with and I can’t wait to capture their wedding at the beginning of next year.

Kirbi Gayle Knop - I love this session! Such a cool location and beautifully captured.
